CREATING AN ENTREPRENEURIAL CULTURE
4-Hour Workshop

November 8, 2019 8AM-Noon (With Lunch Option to Continue the Conversation)

Presentation Description
In this presentation, Elnian will be sharing practical tools and tips that will help empower every single employee in your business with the tools, education and data they need to act (and take responsibility) like owners.

Zingerman’s is known for organizational culture, and they often get asked questions like: “How do you keep staff engaged?” and “What’s the secret to finding staff who think like entrepreneurs?” The truth is that there is no secret, and they are hiring from the same labor pool as everyone else in their area. What they have done consistently is document and communicate clear expectations about what it takes to succeed as a Zingerman’s employee, including their belief that each person brings valuable insights that will help them be successful as an organization.

In this workshop, Elnian will help participants identify the benefits of a culture that encourages everyone to think “outside the box” and look for ways to improve. In addition, she’ll share a variety of systems and tools that Zingerman’s has found make it easier for staff to get engaged and have their voices heard. This workshop is a follow-up to our September lunch meeting on the same topic and gives participants specific how-to’s and tools they can take back and use immediately to implement these same principles in their organization.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

Describe key elements and advantages of an entrepreneurial culture.

Identify the elements necessary to build an entrepreneurial culture including how to teach it, define it, live it, measure it and implement recognition systems.

Use new tools and techniques to encourage entrepreneurial thinking within their organizations.

Create and action plan for success

Call upon a network of peers to help get past roadblocks
