We will also be telling the story of our only female lighthouse keeper. There will be an actor in period costume in each room retelling the Christmas story of that family. Some of the heritages showcased will be from Germany, Denmark, England, and Ireland. In addition, learn about the history of the Christmas Tree ship Rouse Simmons, that sank in Lake Michigan in 1912.
December 7th will be our last day of the exhibit with extended hours. A modern-day Santa’s Workshop will be open from 3-6 PM. Come out and enjoy cookie decorating, crafting an ornament, visiting with Santa, games, holiday campfire, hot cocoa bar and much more.
