Join us in downtown Boyne City to celebrate everything CHOCOLATE at our ‘sweet’ event on February 14th and 15th. There are kids’ activities at the library, a Chocolate Dessert Contest (Saturday at 1P) and delicious treats and some in-store specials offered by many of our downtown businesses. It’s a great way to chase away the winter blues and indulge with delectable creations.

9th Annual Alpenfrost - February 15, 2020 - The 9th Annual Alpenfrost celebrates the heart of the winter season in Gaylord! This year’s event starts with the popular Frosty 5K and concludes with a moonlit snowshoe hike through the lovely grounds of the Otsego Resort.

Celebrate the snowy season on Saturday, February 15th at Interlochen Center for the Arts’ annual festival, Winterlochen! Join our students, faculty, and staff at 11:00 a.m. for a variety of FREE fun-filled, family-friendly activities including: Kids Conducting with the Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra, Winterlochen parade featuring the Traverse City Central High School drum line, Acting workshops, Poetry workshops, Old-time photography, Snow painting, Sledding, Human bowling, Face painting, Food Court. Then join the Interlochen Arts Academy Dance Company and Orchestra at 2 p.m. for a FREE performance of The Sleeping Beauty.

Get Out and Get Active! Hanson Hills Snow Sports School is offering a free X-C classic beginner's ski lesson every Saturday at noon. Lesson includes rental equipment for the day, trail pass for the day and 1 hr of instruction. To participate call Hanson Hills Snow Sports School at 989-348-9266 to pre-register or show up the day of the class. A $5.00 trail maintenance fee is appreciated.
