Longtime Radio Personality Sean Baligian to host X’s and BrO’s
DETROIT – Sean Baligian, a veteran of sports-talk radio across Michigan as well as in Toledo, will move
into the host’s chair each morning on the popular Michigan Media Network (MMN) radio show
previously hosted and created by Matt Shepard.
The morning show will maintain a format focused on Michigan sports, including the
Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, Spartans and Wolverines, but also more from the Big Ten to small
college and prep sports and the cool stories Michigan sports fans want to talk about.
Baligian previously hosted a mid-day show at WDFN (1130 AM) in Detroit for several years and has
hosted shows in various time slots at other stations across Michigan. Recently, he has been a part of the
Detroit Lions’ Radio Network, and also hosted the hockey show "Icetime" for 10 years.
In addition to his radio work, Baligian was a part of Fox 2 Detroit Sports television coverage with
appearances on Sunday night broadcasts for 15 years. He was also a part of "Lions Game Day" and
Stanley Cup Finals pre- and post-game shows.
The Heisman Trophy voter, Livonia native and Northville resident has called college football and
basketball games for both the University of Toledo and Wayne State University and has been the "voice"
of WSU football for over a decade. In 2007, he was named "Best Radio Sports Talk Host” by
the Detroit Metro Times.
