‘A MIRACLE OF THEIR OWN’ – is about how Team USA shocked the Hockey world, beating the heavily favored Canadiens for the Gold in the first Olympic women's ice hockey tournament in Japan 25 years ago. That singular event not only inspired tremendous grown of girls' & womens' hockey, but gave us one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports. Team member and Michigander Lisa Brown-Miller will join authors Keith Gave and Tim Rappleye at the National Writers' Series at the City Opera House in Traverse City Thursday Jan. 19 to share her experiences learning hockey playing with and against boys most of her life.
